Sweet Corn!!!!!

Hey! Is that a sweet corn?? No! That's NOT a sweet corn!!

Got a pleasant surprise when my potted plant sprouted a rare tiny flower on a Saturday morning. Ya, that sweet corn looking thing in the picture.

It's the flower of the Zamioculcas plant or more commonly know as 'Jin Qian Shu' i.e. 'Golden Coin Tree'. Chinese buy these plants during Chinese New Year period to symbolize abundance of wealth.

Shot of the flower bug with my kit lens Canon EF-S 18-200mm Macro capability. Not too bad for a decent close up profile of the flower.
